About the role

Job Summary:

We're seeking a full-time Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team! This role will be responsible for accurately tracking and recording cash flow. This position can be either hybrid from our San Diego La Jolla office or fully remote for candidates in California.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and record invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billing
  • Vendor Onboarding
  • Acquire proper approval for billing and vendor set-up
  • Process expense reports from employees to identify discrepancies and escalate in appropriate manner
  • Maintain 1099s and generate report at year end
  • Assists with the resolution of discrepancies or problems that prohibit timely ordering of goods and services or timely payment of invoices
  • Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
  • Update deposit log on a regular basis
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Reconcile Bank Statements
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned

 

Education:

  • Highschool diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field experience preferred

 

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of related experience Accounts Payable
  • Bi-lingual a plus (Fluent in Spanish) 

 

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing
  • Understanding of GAAP

 

Soft Skills:

  • Highly motivated self-started with commitment to attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and within a team environment
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and recording skills
  • Strong attention to detail

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day
  • Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day

Salary Range: $28.00 per hour - $33.00 per hour + bonus
