Job requirements
This role provides strategic leadership and technical oversight for actuarial functions, ensuring high-quality analysis, sound risk management, and delivery of business and client objectives. This role leads actuarial teams, partners with senior leadership, and drives innovation in actuarial modeling, analytics, and decision-making
Key Responsibilities
Directs the design and development of key actuarial reports for both internal and external clients and communicates the interpretation and implications of the report findings. • Oversee actuarial work related to pricing, reserving, forecasting, valuation, and risk management • Review and approve actuarial models, assumptions, and methodologies • Translate complex actuarial results into clear business insights and recommendations • Directs the use of actuary tools and models for ensuring actuary outcomes comply with established standards. • Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements • Enhances effectiveness and efficiency of the organization’s actuarial functions by implementing quality control procedures
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field • 12 + years of progressive actuarial experience, including leadership roles • Strong Consulting experience or significant client-facing leadership • Strong expertise in actuarial modeling, financial analysis, and risk management • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills • Expertise in Defined Benefit pension plans – funding valuations, company accounting disclosures, individual member calculations.
