About the role

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Manufacturing team. The intern will assist in the development, programming, and troubleshooting of automation systems, focusing on mechatronics and Siemens PLC technologies. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working alongside experienced engineers to improve production efficiency and automation processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated manufacturing systems.
  • Assist in programming and configuring Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal.
  • Develop and modify HMI interfaces in TIA Portal for operator interaction.
  • Apply Ladder Logic programming for control systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and optimize mechatronic systems.
  • Document processes, configurations, and system changes for future reference.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Mechatronics principles and applications.
  • Basic knowledge of Siemens PLC hardware and architecture.
  • Familiarity with Siemens PLC Programming (TIA Portal – Basic).
  • Understanding of Siemens HMI Programming (TIA Portal – Basic).
  • Knowledge of Ladder Logic language for PLC programming.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to industrial automation and manufacturing processes.
  • Basic understanding of safety standards in automated systems.
  • Experience with troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs.
