Position: - APS Developer
Experience: - 5+ Yrs.
Location: - Hyderabad (On-site).
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cloud applications using Autodesk Platform Services (formerly Forge) APIs, including Model Derivative, Data Management, Viewer, and Design Automation.
- Build custom integrations between Autodesk tools (Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360/ACC) and project-specific workflows.
- Automate common AEC processes like model conversion, data extraction, clash detection, and document generation.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and web-based user interfaces for project stakeholders.
- Automation of workflows through APS Webhooks for event-driven updates.
- Design and develop custom Revit add-ins to automate repetitive tasks.
- Create interactive desktop applications using WPF and the MVVM design pattern to provide rich user experiences.
- Integrate BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud data with enterprise systems.
- Automate AEC workflows such as model translation, clash checking, and report generation.
- Designing intuitive UIs for cloud solutions to visualize 3D models and dashboards.
- Maintain clean, modular code in Git-based repositories (e.g., GitHub), with structured branching, version control, and pull request practices.
- Collaborate with project teams to scope and delivery automation solutions that improve productivity and quality.
- Conducting user research and testing to optimize workflows for AEC professionals.
- Build web-based dashboards and collaboration tools integrating ACC and APS data.
Frontend Development: (Added advantage)
- Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks (React.js, Vue.js, Angular) for building responsive, high-performance user interfaces.
- Strong skills in TypeScript for type-safe, scalable front-end applications.
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Vuex, or Recoil. Backend / API Development: (Added advantage)
- Proficiency in Node.js/Express for building backend services.
- Elementary proficiency in designing and implementing GraphQL APIs.
Security and Authentication:
- Expertise in implementing Autodesk's 3-legged and 2-legged authentication flows.
- Knowledge of best practices for securing API keys, tokens, and sensitive project data.
Cloud Hosting and CI/CD:
- Deployment of web apps on Azure using containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), leveraging Azure Web Apps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and related Azure DevOps tooling
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI) for automated builds and deployments.
Performance and Scalability:
- Optimizing web applications for large BIM datasets and complex 3D geometry rendering.
- Caching strategies and CDN usage for improved load times and scalability.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Load testing APIs and ensuring high availability under peak loads.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Min 5+ years of experience in development experience in the AEC automation domain and 2+ years of experience in Autodesk Platform Services (APS/Forge).
- Proficiency in C#/.NET, ASP.NET & Python languages.
- Hands-on experience with Autodesk Platform Services (APS/Forge).
- Experience developing plugins using the Revit API, including custom UI elements.
- Strong grasp of WPF and MVVM architecture for desktop app interfaces.
- Strong understanding of BIM 360 / ACC APIs and cloud-based workflows.
- Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, OAuth 2.0, and web technologies.
- Experience with Git version control and GitHub-based workflows (issues, PRs, branches).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Frontend development experience using React.js, TypeScript, or similar.
- Experience with other Autodesk APIs (AutoCAD, Navisworks).
- Familiarity with BIM standards like IFC, openBIM.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for deployment and hosting.

- Ability to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in BIM technologies.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new software and tools as required.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality solutions.
