SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

 

Educational Qualifications:

 

Bachelor of Electrical Engineering

 

Functional Skills:

 

  • Proficient in EHV Transmission Line up to 765 kV engineering principles, including knowledge of equipment, systems, and National/International standards and regulations related to EHV Transmission line.
  • Knowledge in power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PLS-CADD) and CAD tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in engineering designs and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting technical information.

 

 

Relevant and total years of Experience:

 

Overall experience: 6 + Years of experience in designing and working with electrical EHV Transmission systems.

  Specific experience in:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in design of EHV Transmission Line up to 400 kV projects engineering
  • Familiarity with civil engineering aspects relevant to transmission systems foundation and structure design is added advantage.
  • Consultancy in Engineering background in a similar field can also be considered

Accountabilities

 

 Major Activities

 

Design & Engineering of EHV Transmission Line & Renewables - Greenfield & M&A projects

 

 

 

 
  • Conduct a detailed review of the RFS document’s technical requirements to ensure an optimized design and BOQ are developed, enabling cost-competitive bidding to win the T&D TBCB project.
  •  Prepare MDL and technical specification documents to invite techno-commercial proposals from prospective EPC contractors.
  • Review and approve tower accessories (e.g., conductor, OPGW, earth wire, hardware, insulators, ACD, tower plates).
  • Review and approve the MQAP for tower accessories.
  • Review and approve route surveys, detailed surveys, check surveys, tower schedules, profiles, KMZ files, and tower spotting in PLS-CADD.
  • Prepare the scope of work, assist during the consultant/OE appointment process, coordinate, review observations, and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Conduct factory inspections of EHV transmission line accessories and acceptance tests.
  • Ensure compliance and design adequacy during M&A projects through site visits and design reviews.

  • Identify areas for process improvement within the engineering team and across the organization.
  • Implement and refine engineering best practices, methodologies, and standards to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Provide support in conceptualizing & facilitate sharing of new developments in Technology with the wider audience.

 

Business Planning & Budget Forecasting

 

Providing inputs for budgeting for Technical Services in accordance with Business plan on need basis

 

Developing self and others

 
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
  • Stay updated with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to electrical Transmission systems
