Job Description

The Solution Architect is an experienced application/cloud technologist professional playing a critical role in working with new and existing customers to assess Oracle Cloud deployments, perform Global Design, and architect solutions and implementation plans to support driving business system operational excellence.  The Solution Architect works closely with the following teams within Apps Associates:

  • Sales Team:  fielding initial calls from sales team for qualified opportunities; working with sales team and their customers to understand the scope of services being requested; making recommendations for phasing and deployment options; presenting solution recommendations to the customer related to advisory services offerings in business system design, global design, and core business operations
  • Delivery:  jointly work with delivery team members on global design and engagement health checks
  • Marketing:  provide feedback and strategy to the team in creating campaigns, events and trade shows

Responsibilities

Focused on application solution designs for our cloud offering focusing on Oracle Cloud applications.  Ability to solution across broad application functionality, as well as technical topics such as reporting, integration, data, and administration is important. Provide a good technical foundation to guide customers on the best way to design and implement these applications.

  • Experienced professional with excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization (from C-Suite to subject matter experts)
  • Multiple Oracle Cloud Applications implementations across ERP, SCM, and CX applications
  • Strong experience within Oracle Cloud Order Management, GOP, Pricing
  • Experience across a multitude of customers and industries, solving business systems problems
  • Proven track record of architecting business system solutions, planning for implementations, and experience in implementing and supporting these solutions
  • Excellent listening skills, with the ability to perform discovery and solicit business requirements based on what is heard
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Technical depth and breadth across a variety of applications, including order management, subscriptions, supply chain, accounts receivables and customer experience. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of CX solutions such as Salesforce that may integrate as part of the solution.
  • Experience with architecting integration solutions, including a familiarity with middleware tools
  • Experience with architecting reporting solutions, including a familiarity with both in-built reporting capabilities as well as data warehousing
  • Provide technical product expertise prospective and existing customers, advising on deployment architectures, and handle in-depth technical questions during sales and advisory process with the goal to build long-term business relationships and become a trusted advisor within each account
  • Ability to assess current implementation status and provide guidance to address implementation issues
  • Provide technical and liaison services for Apps Associates relating to overall service lifecycle; onboarding services, configuration, cutover, and ongoing managed services (monitoring, tuning, support and proactive management)
  • Contribute to sales process improvement, including developing knowledge bases, creating sales tools
  • Create presentations, proposals and statements of work to customers
  • Conduct presentations to customers on the product, methodology, project timelines, customer requirements during the project
  • Articulate Apps Associates value proposition, present product/service information, and build value throughout the sales process

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in a direct solutions architect role with a similar product line or service offering
  • 5+ years of experience implementing Oracle Cloud Applications, preferably on large, complex implementation projects within the Oracle Order to Cash cycle, specifically OM, GOP, Pricing
  • Providing outstanding service with the ability speak and interact with individuals with different technical skill sets (i.e the most technical and non-technical person in the room)
  • Industry experience in several industries  
  • A goal-oriented individual who wants to grow professionally and technically while constantly improving their skills with the latest and greatest technologies
  • Willing to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities to strategically accelerate expansion and maximize profits
  • Experience working in industry, as well as a consultant or software engineer, is strongly desired

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or business-based majors such as Accounting or Business Management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
