Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Analyst to join our product strategy and research team. This role supports the development of our B2B SaaS solutions in manufacturing and supply chain by providing insights into industry trends, competition, and the broader ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. Industry and Market Analysis:
• Conduct comprehensive research on the manufacturing automation industry.
• Analyze competitive landscapes and industry forces.
• Identify market opportunities and customer needs.
2. Financial and Strategic Analysis:
• Review and analyze financial statements and filings.
• Monitor industry financial trends and benchmarks.
• Assess qualitative characteristics like company moats and management effectiveness.
3. Information Gathering:
• Review company websites, investor relations sections, and industry-specific publications.
• Perform online searches across major news outlets and forums for insights.
• Utilize platforms like BBB, SiteJabber, and Trustpilot for business reviews.
4. Ecosystem Research:
• Investigate value chains, including customers, suppliers, and partners.
• Research private companies using available resources.
• Attend trade shows and conferences for deeper insights.
5. Write-Ups and Communication:
• Prepare assessments of market opportunities and competitive landscapes.
• Schedule and conduct calls with industry experts and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed questions and talking points for meetings.
• Present research findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders using PowerPoint.
6. Data-Driven Decision Making:
• Provide quantitative and qualitative evidence for strategic decisions.
• Propose and pursue follow-on research projects.
7. Self-Reliance and Continuous Learning:
• Develop and refine analytical frameworks.
• Seek out and review resources independently.
• Be self-reliant in learning and development.

Qualifications:

1. This is a must: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Aerospace Engineering 
2. Minimum 7-8  years of experience in research analysis within the manufacturing or supply chain industry.
3. Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and quantitative analysis.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Proficiency in PowerPoint and other presentation tools.
6. Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and present clear, actionable insights.
7. Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic and commitment to continuous learning.
8. Experience with AlphaSense, Sentieo, BamSEC, and securities regulator pages.
