Application Support Engineer Intern (Global Operations) — Intern-to-Hire
📍 Location: Embassy Tech Square, ORR, Bangalore
🕒Duration: 3–6 Months | Full-time conversion based on performance
💼 Mode: Work from Office | Rotational shifts
We are hiring an application support engineer intern for our global operations team with a clear path to a full-time offer. This is a hands-on tech operations role, not a desk-only support job. You'll be working across both hardware and software, managing edge devices, camera solutions, and bowling machines alongside application monitoring, incident triage, and customer communication. Our users are cricketers, coaches, and teams across the world, so the operations never really stop.
If you are the kind of person who enjoys figuring out why something broke, can stay composed during a live incident at 2 AM, and communicate clearly under pressure, this is the role for you.
Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
- Monitor production applications, edge devices, and hardware systems; respond to alerts and anomalies
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer-reported issues spanning both software (application bugs, connectivity) and hardware (cameras, edge devices, bowling machines)
- Diagnose problems using Linux command-line tools, system logs, and HTTP/HTTPS traffic analysis
- Escalate complex incidents to engineering with clear, structured context — no hand-waving
- Document issues, resolutions, and patterns in ticketing systems to build institutional knowledge
- Support live operations globally — this includes covering night shifts and weekend rotations
- Communicate clearly and proactively with customers worldwide, both verbally and in writing
What You'll Walk Away With
- Real-world experience in hardware + software support across a global ops environment
- Practical Linux and production debugging skills
- Confidence handling live incidents and customer escalations under pressure
- A deep understanding of how a fast-scaling sports tech product actually runs
Intern → Full-Time: How It Works? Strong interns get hired. Evaluation is based on:
- Quality and clarity of incident handling and documentation
- Reliability and composure during live or night-shift operations
- Communication — with customers, with engineering, and in written logs
- Initiative: Do you spot patterns, flag issues proactively, and improve the process?
Why StanceBeam?
- Work on products used by real cricketers and professional teams
- Rare exposure to both hardware and software operations in one role
- High autonomy, steep learning curve, fast growth
- A direct path to a full-time engineering role for those who deliver
