Summary
As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as a software detective, providing a dynamic service that identifies and resolves issues within various components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to troubleshoot problems, analyzing system performance, and ensuring seamless operation of communication and collaboration tools. You will engage with users to understand their challenges and work towards effective solutions, contributing to the overall efficiency of business operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Asterisk IP PBX systems
Manage VoIP infrastructure, SIP trunks, gateways, and dial plans
Troubleshooting and collecting logs
Configure and troubleshoot SIP, RTP, codecs, and VoIP signaling
Install, configure, and maintain Asternic dashboard and reporting application
Maintenance of FOP -2 switchboard application
Implement IVR systems, call routing, and call queues
Monitor and optimize voice quality and system performance
Integrate Asterisk PBX with CRM, APIs, or third-party systems
Provide support for voice network troubleshooting
Maintain system documentation and configurations
Perform upgrades, patching, and security hardening of PBX systems
Work with network teams to ensure proper QoS and firewall configurations
Provide L2/L3 support for voice-related incidents
Required Skills
Strong experience with Asterisk PBX
Good understanding of VoIP technologies
Knowledge of SIP, RTP, PRI, ISDN
Experience in dial plan development
Knowledge of Linux administration
Experience with IP telephony troubleshooting
Familiarity with SIP Trunk providers
Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN, QoS)

Genesys Cloud / Genesys Contact Center
Call Center platform integrations
WebRTC / Softphone integration
FreePBX / Issabel
Automation scripting (Python / Bash)
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in computer science, IT, Telecommunications, or related field
Certifications in Asterisk/ Linux are preferred

Additional Information
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Unified Communication and Collaboration Operations.
