As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by diligently investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying system anomalies and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, detailed analysis, and collaboration with different teams to maintain system integrity and support business continuity effectively.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of system issues and minimize downtime.
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
- Assist in the implementation of system updates and patches to enhance performance and security.
- Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on complex issues.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Information Lifecycle management ILM.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex system issues and develop effective solutions.
- Experience in monitoring and maintaining enterprise-level software applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Familiarity with system diagnostics and debugging tools to identify root causes of technical problems.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Capability to work independently while also contributing positively to team efforts and discussions.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in SAP Information Lifecycle management ILM.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
