Summary
As a Senior Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service that identifies and resolves issues within various components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with different teams to troubleshoot problems, ensuring that systems operate smoothly and efficiently, and contributing to the overall success of the organization by maintaining high service standards and responsiveness to user needs. You will engage in problem-solving activities, analyse system performance, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency, all while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be a Senior Support Engineer
Collaborate with application, DevOps, and security teams to support business requirements
Provide L2/L3 operational support and participate in On-Call rotations as required
Should be open for 24/7 rotational shifts.
Adhere to organizational processes, compliance standards, and best practices
Experience in Service Now Incident and Change modules is a plus with ITIL knowledge.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Extensive experience in Windows System Administration, including:
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers
- User account, permission, file system, and service management
- System monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- OS patching, updates, and security hardening
- Troubleshooting system, application, and network-related issues
Deploy and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud for posture management and threat protection
Configure and operate Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) for security monitoring and incident response
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, firewalls)
Proficiency in scripting using PowerShell
Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Alerts
Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization using Azure best practices
Manage identity and access using Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID)
Configure RBAC, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
Secure network workloads using Azure Firewall, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and NSGs
Manage encryption, Azure Key Vault, certificates, secrets, and managed identities
Conduct vulnerability assessments, remediation, and security hardening
Certifications: AZ 104 – Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (required) AZ 500 – Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate (preferred)
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Azure IaaS.
- This position is based at our Bangalore office.
