Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, you will engage in a variety of tasks that involve identifying and resolving issues within critical business systems. Your day will typically include collaborating with team members to troubleshoot software problems, analyzing system performance, and implementing solutions to enhance system functionality. You will also be responsible for documenting your findings and solutions, ensuring that the systems operate smoothly and efficiently. Your role will require a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving, as you work to maintain the integrity of the software applications that support business operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for application support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge in developing plugins for Rational Team Concert (RTC).
- Experience with designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and application development.
- Git-based VCS Familiar with version control systems based on Git.
- In-depth understanding of Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC).
- Knowledge in IBM ELM
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management IBM ELM.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Web Services Standards, React.js, Python (Programming Language).
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve software issues effectively.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle and application support methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management IBM ELM.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
