ABOUT THE ROLE
This role sits at the intersection of established BIM practice and cutting-edge AI. You will research, evaluate, and implement AI technologies — both as standalone tools and integrated within core BIM platforms — and translate findings into workflows that measurably improve how our design teams work. Think of this as part researcher, part implementer, and part internal AI champion.

Education B.Arch / M.Arch or equivalent in Computational Design
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
AI Research & Tool Evaluation
• Benchmark standalone AI tools — Midjourney, Stable Diffusion (ComfyUI/A1111), LookX, Adobe Firefly — for architectural visualization and produce structured evaluation reports.
• Assess LLMs (GPT-4o, Claude, Gemini) for design brief synthesis, specification drafting, and prompt-to-model workflows.
BIM + AI Integration
• Research and pilot AI/ML plugins within Revit (generative massing, Dynamo-AI scripts) and Rhino/Grasshopper (Wallacei, ML geometry plugins).
• Prototype end-to-end workflows combining BIM model intelligence with AI image generation to compress visualization timelines.
• Evaluate Autodesk Forma, generative design platforms, and ArchiCAD open BIM for AI integration opportunities.
Workflow Design & Automation
• Build reproducible AI-augmented workflows from concept ideation through to documentation; develop standard prompt libraries for the team.
• Automate repetitive BIM tasks via Python scripting (pyRevit, RhinoPython) integrated with AI inference APIs.
Training & Knowledge Transfer
• Deliver regular internal AI workshops and maintain a living AI Tools Knowledge Base accessible to all design staff.
• Present quarterly innovation showcases to senior leadership with quantified project outcomes.
Ethics & Governance
• Own the firm's AI Usage Policy, addressing copyright, data privacy, and professional disclosure obligations.

Must Have • B.Arch or M.Arch from accredited institution • 5+ years in architectural or AEC technology role • Expert-level Revit — families, worksets, Revit API familiarity • Grasshopper and/or Dynamo scripting from scratch • Proven AI prompt engineering for architectural viz • IFC / ISO 19650 open BIM knowledge Strong Advantage • Python scripting: pyRevit, RhinoPython, REST API calls • ControlNet / LoRA fine-tuning for arch image conditioning • Familiarity with ML concepts (diffusion, transformers) • 3D rendering pipeline (Enscape, V-Ray, Lumion, D5) • GIS or urban data analytics exposure • Conference talks or published AEC tech articles
