Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly talented Application Engineer, specializing in CAM software, to join our amazing team in Bangalore and play a role in demonstrating the technical capabilities and value propositions of our SolidCAM solutions to existing customers.
You will be working closely with our sales engineering and customer support/post sales teams to ensure seamless integration of SolidCAM, driving optimization in manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Developing a comprehensive understanding of SolidCAM including features, capabilities, version upgrades, simulations and integrations.
- Sales Support: Collaborating with the sales team to deliver technical support and presentations that showcase the benefits of SolidCAM subscriptions and additional modules to existing customers.
- Customer Consultation: Creating value for our customers by understanding their specific manufacturing requirements and recommending tailored solutions that align with their needs.
- Training and Support: Providing training sessions and technical support to customers post-implementation, ensuring they maximize the value of their SolidCAM subscription and their current machining processes.
- Feedback Loop: Connecting between customers and our Sales team, providing valuable feedback and insights to drive continuous improvement of SolidCAM offerings.
- Training and Documentation: Developing training materials and documentation for customers regarding subscription features, benefits, and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engg.
- Proven experience (5-6 years) in a technical role within the manufacturing industry, specifically with CAM software.
- Proficiency in CAM software platforms (e.g., SolidCAM, Autodesk CAM, Mastercam, Siemens NX CAM) and related technologies.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences – a must!
- Ability to understand and analyze customer requirements and translate them into effective solutions– a must!
- Management skills like the ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously and deliver on-time solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CAD/CAM Software and CNC machining processes.
- Familiarity with CAM software solutions and their advantages in modern manufacturing environments.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, providing technical support or consultancy services.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present technical information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive and customer-centric approach.
