Isiri Technologies INC is looking to hire experienced Application Developers – Production Support through the Eazyway Platform. Candidates should have strong hands-on experience in Mainframe Production Support, with expertise in COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience handling job abends, production incidents, application issues, troubleshooting, and issue resolution in a Mainframe environment. Strong communication and coordination skills are required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Mainframe Production Support
• Provide production support for Mainframe applications.
• Monitor production jobs and application processes.
• Investigate and resolve production issues within defined timelines.
• Analyze application failures and identify the root cause.
• Ensure smooth and stable operation of production applications.
2. COBOL Development & Support
• Analyze and troubleshoot COBOL programs related to production issues.
• Debug application problems and identify code-level issues.
• Implement fixes and enhancements based on production requirements.
• Understand existing COBOL programs and their dependencies.
• Support application maintenance and issue resolution activities.
3. JCL & Job Abend Handling
• Monitor and troubleshoot Mainframe batch jobs.
• Analyze and resolve job abends and failed batch processes.
• Review JCL and job execution details to identify the cause of failures.
• Restart and rerun jobs according to established production procedures.
• Coordinate with relevant teams for complex job and scheduling issues.
4. VSAM Support
• Troubleshoot application issues involving VSAM files.
• Analyze file-related errors and data-access issues.
• Support VSAM-based applications and batch processes.
• Investigate data and file-processing problems affecting production applications.
5. Incident Management & Troubleshooting
• Handle production incidents and perform technical triaging.
• Analyze application logs, job outputs, and system information to identify issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring production problems.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate technical teams.
• Track incidents through resolution and provide timely updates.
Experience & Qualifications
• Experience: 4–5 years of experience in Mainframe application development and production support.
• Mandatory Skill: Strong experience in Mainframe Production Support.
• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL.
• Strong experience with JCL.
• Hands-on experience with VSAM.
• Practical experience handling job abends and production incidents.
• Experience in Mainframe application troubleshooting and debugging.
• Understanding of batch processing and production job execution.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
