Job Summary
Shriram General Insurance is seeking a skilled Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level applications that support business operations and customer-facing platforms. The role involves working on scalable systems, integrating services, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications across web, mobile, or enterprise platforms.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement new features.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Develop and integrate APIs and third-party services.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and security standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar.
- Experience with application development frameworks and tools.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and system integration.
- Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar systems.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based environments.
