About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Developer specializing in SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to join our dynamic team at Cargill. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, integrating, and supporting SAP PLM solutions that streamline engineering processes, enhance product development, and ensure comprehensive lifecycle governance. The successful candidate will work on complex projects with minimal supervision, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to scale SAP PLM capabilities across various business units. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence key business processes, improve system efficiencies, and contribute to Cargill’s digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, coupled with 10-12 years of relevant work experience. Prior functional experience or exposure to SAP PLM is essential, particularly within process industry environments. Candidates should have hands-on experience with specifications, recipes, engineering records, document management systems (DMS), and Bill of Materials (BOM) processes. A strong understanding of SAP PLM integrations with upstream and downstream systems is required, along with the ability to analyze business requirements and support functional configurations effectively. Experience collaborating with SAP technical teams, including ABAP developers, is highly valued. Familiarity with PLM data concepts and lifecycle processes is necessary, along with excellent communication skills to work effectively across business, functional, and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Application Configuration Management: Develop complex application configurations to meet specified user and business needs, while identifying opportunities for process improvements within application support procedures.
- Application Development & Deployment: Perform advanced programming, configuration, testing, and deployment activities for application updates and releases, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
- User Communication & Support: Maintain open communication channels with end-users to respond promptly to support requests, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical guidance on SAP PLM functionalities.
- Application Support: Conduct intricate technical support activities to ensure the stability and performance of SAP PLM solutions, aligning with business outcomes and operational requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including developers, product managers, and business partners, to ensure configurations adhere to organizational standards and project objectives.
- Incident & Request Management: Lead the prioritization and resolution of incident tickets and user requests, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Vendor Management: Foster positive relationships with software vendors, negotiate complex contracts, and oversee vendor deliverables to ensure project success and compliance with organizational standards.
