We’re looking for an experienced Application Architect who can take ownership of designing and guiding modern, scalable enterprise applications. This role is heavily focused on strong architecture fundamentals, with the added expectation of understanding how systems support real business processes—especially within the life insurance space.
You’ll work closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to build solutions that are not only technically sound but also aligned with how insurance operations actually run.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing end-to-end application architecture for enterprise systems
- Driving best practices around microservices, APIs, and cloud-native design
- Working closely with business teams to translate insurance workflows into technical solutions
- Leading system design discussions and guiding development teams
- Ensuring applications are scalable, secure, and high-performing
- Helping modernize legacy systems and move toward more flexible architectures
- Supporting integrations across core insurance platforms and third-party systems
What we’re looking for
- Strong background in application architecture and system design
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Solid understanding of microservices, APIs, and distributed systems
- Experience with modern development stacks (Java, .NET, Python, Node.js, etc.)
- Familiarity with containers and DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
- Life Insurance experience (important)
- Good understanding of how life insurance systems work—policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing
- Experience working with or around insurance platforms or PAS systems is a plus
- Ability to connect technical solutions with real insurance business needs
- AI exposure (nice to have, not required)
- Some familiarity with AI-driven features like chatbots, document processing, or automation
- Awareness of how AI can be applied in insurance (for example, claims processing or customer support)
What will help you succeed:
- Ability to think both technically and from a business perspective
- Strong communication skills—you can explain complex ideas simply
- Comfortable guiding teams and making architectural decisions
