Role Description The Application and Sales Engineer role is a full-time hybrid position based in the Pune Division, with some flexibility for work from home. In this role, the individual will evaluate customer requirements, propose suitable gauging and automation solutions, and prepare technical and commercial offers. Daily responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, supporting application studies, coordinating trials, and assisting in system integration with customer manufacturing lines. The Application and Sales Engineer will manage the sales cycle by following up on inquiries, maintaining relationships with key accounts, and providing pre- and post-sales technical support. The role also involves collaborating with internal design and engineering teams, documenting application cases, and delivering training and basic troubleshooting support to customers.
Qualifications
- Strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills, with the ability to understand and explain precision metrology and automation solutions.
- Demonstrated Sales and Customer Service capabilities, including managing inquiries, building client relationships, and supporting long-term accounts.
- Clear and effective Communication skills for interacting with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Educational background in Mechanical, Production, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline (diploma or degree) is preferred.
- Experience in industrial automation, gauging systems, or manufacturing processes is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and translate them into practical application solutions.
- Comfort with field visits, on-site customer meetings in and around Pune Division, and occasional travel to client locations.
- Proficiency with basic office productivity tools (e.g., MS Office) and reporting practices for sales and technical activities.
