With locations in Richmond, Ashland, Waynesboro, Chesapeake and Williamsburg, the Apple Door Family has been serving Virginia since 1973. Summary

In the role of Technician Apprentice, you will play a pivotal role by assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of garage doors and related systems. Prior experience is not a prerequisite, as we provide thorough on-the-job training.


Duties

· Assist with the installation of garage doors and related systems per manufacturer specifications.

· Gather and prepare materials needed for installs and service jobs.

· Maintain paperwork and records as necessary.

· Maintain safe, secure. and a healthy work environment. 


Requirements

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

· Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

· Must have a clean driving record to be added to our auto insurance policy.

· Must have dependable & reliable transportation.


Preferred Qualifications

· Basic knowledge of construction, hand tools, and/or electrical.

· Mechanical inclination

Work Conditions

· Non-climate-controlled environment – potentially working in all weather conditions. 

· Frequently sitting, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50-75 lbs. continuously.

Apple Door was founded in 1973 by Hubert Apple, Jr. Originally, the firm began operating as an overhead door service company in Richmond, Virginia.
