Appian Solution Architect
We are looking for an experienced Appian Solution Architect to join a global technology team focused on designing and delivering enterprise-grade business process automation solutions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience architecting Appian-based solutions, leading technical teams, defining scalable architectures, and ensuring best practices across the software development lifecycle. This role requires strong expertise in Appian platform capabilities, enterprise integrations, process automation, and technical leadership.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working with the Appian platform.
- Proven experience designing solution architectures for enterprise Appian implementations.
- Experience providing technical leadership to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Strong background delivering BPM and workflow automation solutions.
- Experience collaborating with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams in Agile environments.
Technical Skills
Appian Architecture & Development
- Advanced expertise in Appian, including SAIL, Process Models, Record Types, Interfaces, Data Fabric, Expression Rules, and Appian Objects.
- Design of scalable, secure, and maintainable Appian solution architectures.
- Definition of development standards, reusable components, and best practices.
- Performance optimization and troubleshooting of complex Appian applications.
- Experience implementing security models, object-level permissions, and governance strategies.
- Application lifecycle management, deployments, and environment migration.
Business Process Management
- Strong knowledge of BPM concepts and BPMN standards.
- Design and optimization of complex business processes and workflow automation.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Integrations
- Extensive experience integrating Appian with enterprise systems through REST and SOAP web services.
- Experience designing reusable integration services and API-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of authentication and security mechanisms for enterprise integrations.
Software Engineering
- Solid Java knowledge for custom integrations and Appian plug-in development.
- Experience with relational databases, data modeling, SQL, and database optimization.
- Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with Git, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Leadership Skills
- Technical leadership and mentoring of Appian development teams.
- Architecture governance and design review facilitation.
- Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to drive technical decisions while balancing business and technology needs.
- Experience producing technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and solution design artifacts.
