Job Title: Appian QA Engineer (6+ Years Experience)
Location: Offshore – Remote

🔍 Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Appian QA Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on Appian testing experience to ensure high-quality delivery of business process automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in testing Appian BPM applications, integrations, and data, and be comfortable working independently in an Agile environment.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements to create detailed test scenarios and test cases
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing for Appian applications
- Validate Appian components including Process Models, SAIL Interfaces, Records, Rules, Reports, Sites, and CDTs
- Test integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, plug-ins, and connected systems
- Perform data validation using SQL on relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)
- Execute performance and reliability testing and assist in defect root-cause analysis
- Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA and ensure timely resolution
- Collaborate with Developers, BAs, and Product Owners in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Support UAT cycles, production validation, and release sign-offs
- Maintain test documentation, reports, and quality metrics
- Mentor junior QA members and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Stay current with Appian platform updates and recommend testing best practices
✅ Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of overall QA experience with 4+ years in Appian BPM testing
- Strong understanding of Appian architecture, workflows, and application lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with Appian 21.x or later
- Expertise in testing SAIL, Process Models, Records, Sites, CDTs, and Reports
- Strong API testing experience (REST/SOAP) using Postman or similar tools
- Solid experience in manual testing and test design techniques
- Experience validating Appian deployments, app packages, and import/export processes
- Strong SQL skills with Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with JIRA, Zephyr, or similar test/defect management tools
⭐ Good to Have
- Appian Level 1 or Level 2 Certification
- Exposure to test automation (Selenium, API automation, Appian testing tools)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git)
- Basic exposure to performance testing
