We are looking for a hands-on Appian Developer with 4+ years of experience building and enhancing Appian applications. You will design and implement workflows, build UI in SAIL, integrate with external systems, and ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability of Appian solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance Appian BPM/Case Management applications end-to-end.
- Build and optimize:
- SAIL interfaces (forms, grids, dynamic UI patterns)
- Process Models, CDTs, Records, Reports, Sites
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions by collaborating with:
- Business Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain integrations using:
- REST/SOAP APIs, Web services, third-party systems
- JDBC, RDBMS (SQL queries, stored procedures where applicable)
- Implement reusable components, rule structures, and data models following Appian best practices.
- Perform:
- Unit testing, debugging, defect fixing
- Performance tuning (query optimization, process tuning, interface optimization)
- Support UAT/Production deployments and provide post-release support.
- Maintain documentation (technical design, integration specs, deployment notes).
Required Skills (Must-Have)
Applicants MUST have most of the below (this is how we filter for best profiles):
- 4 years of Appian development experience
- Strong in SAIL, Process Models, Records, Reports, Sites
- Good understanding of Appian objects: Rules, Constants, Expressions, CDTs, Data Store
- Integration experience with REST/SOAP APIs and external systems
- Experience with RDBMS/SQL + JDBC integration
- Knowledge of Appian plug-ins (install/use, troubleshooting) OR custom component exposure
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience
- Good communication + requirement understanding + stakeholder collaboration
Good to Have (Preferred)
- Appian Level 2 Certification or higher (preferred)
- Java knowledge (for plug-ins/custom integration/supporting services)
- Experience with Appian RPA
- Exposure to Appian Cloud Administration (deployments, environment, monitoring)
- CI/CD exposure (Jenkins/Azure DevOps/Git-based pipelines)
Education
- Any graduation (B.Tech/B.E/MCA/BSc/Any equivalent)
