Job Title: Apigee Developer / Apigee Lead / Apigee Architect

Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Apigee professionals (Developer/Lead/Architect) with strong expertise in API Management using Apigee Edge and Apigee X. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, securing, and managing APIs across their lifecycle, while also driving architecture decisions and mentoring teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy APIs using Apigee Edge / Apigee X
- Build and manage API proxies, API products, developer portals, and apps
- Implement policies, shared flows, and transformations for traffic management, security, and orchestration
- Manage the API lifecycle including versioning, publishing, monitoring, and deprecation
- Lead solution design discussions and conduct requirement gathering workshops
- Develop reusable components for security, logging, error handling, and transformation
- Ensure API performance, scalability, and security best practices
- Create POCs, technical solutions, and comparison matrices for proposals/bids
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, DevOps)
Required Skills (Must-Have)
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Apigee Edge and Apigee X
- Strong expertise in:
- API Proxy development
- API Products, Apps, Developer Portals
- Administrative tasks (KVM, Cache, Flow Hooks, TLS keystore, Virtual Hosts, RBAC)
- Solid understanding of:
- OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Security
- RESTful APIs and API design best practices
- Experience in building shared flows (security, logging, transformations, error handling)
- Experience in API lifecycle management
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using tools like Postman
- Ability to lead design discussions and mentor teams
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Google Stackdriver (Cloud Logging & Monitoring)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins or similar tools
- Experience in API monetization and analytics
- Ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Experience in training/mentoring teams on API architecture
Additional Responsibilities
- Experiment with emerging technologies and build Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Contribute to pre-sales activities (solutioning, proposals, technical evaluation)
- Drive best practices and process improvements across projects
