We're hiring API Integration Specialist to design, implement, and manage secure and scalable API integrations across multiple internal systems and external third-party applications such as CMS, HRM, CRM, ERP, and other enterprise platforms.
The specialist will be responsible for configuring and managing RESTful APIs, implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms, managing API request and response workflows, handling data transformation and synchronization, and troubleshooting integration issues. The role will ensure reliable, secure, and efficient communication between internal platforms and external systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement secure API integrations between internal applications and external third-party systems.
- Integrate with enterprise applications such as Content Management Systems (CMS), Human Resource Management Systems (HRM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and other business platforms.
- Configure and manage RESTful API endpoints and ensure proper API request/response handling.
- Implement API authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JWT authentication, OAuth2, API keys, Token-based authentication
- Develop and manage API request processing, response validation, and error handling mechanisms.
- Implement data transformation, mapping, and synchronization between different systems and formats.
- Ensure secure and efficient data exchange between internal platforms and third-party services.
- Monitor and troubleshoot API integration issues, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity problems.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and data protection standards.
- Collaborate with backend developers, architects, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth system integration.
- Document API integration architecture, endpoints, workflows, and configurations.
Required Skills & Experience- 5+ years of experience in API development and system integration.
- Strong experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JWT, OAuth2, API keys
- Experience integrating third-party enterprise applications such as CMS, HRM, CRM, ERP systems, and SaaS platforms.
- Experience with backend technologies such as Python (FastAPI / Flask), Node.js, PHP
- Strong knowledge of JSON, XML, and API data exchange formats.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with database integration (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with error handling, logging, and API monitoring.
Preferred Skills- Experience with API Gateway and API management platforms.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Knowledge of message queues and event-driven integrations (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Experience with Docker and container-based deployments.
