Role Overview
Secmark Consultancy Limited is seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented API Integration Specialist to support the integration of APIs released by Depositories such as NSDL and CDSL, and Stock Exchanges, into our back-office software systems. The role requires a strong understanding of capital market operations along with hands-on experience in API integration and backend development.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate APIs provided by Depositories (NSDL, CDSL) and Stock Exchanges into Secmark’s back-office applications.
- Understand API documentation, workflows, and regulatory requirements related to capital market systems.
- Develop, test, and deploy robust API integrations ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with internal product, compliance, and operations teams to align API functionality with business requirements.
- Monitor API performance and troubleshoot integration issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and proper error handling in all integrations.
- Maintain technical documentation for all integrations and workflows.
- Stay updated with regulatory changes, circulars, and new API releases from exchanges and depositories.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, or equivalent backend technologies.
- Experience working with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML formats.
- Proficiency in MS SQL Server and database management.
- Understanding of capital markets, including back-office operations, trade lifecycle, and depository systems.
- Familiarity with authentication protocols, encryption, and secure API practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical and regulatory documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating APIs from financial institutions, exchanges, or depositories.
- Knowledge of stock broking back-office systems and compliance workflows.
- NISM certifications (e.g., Series VII, VIII, or III-A) will be an added advantage.
- Experience in handling high-volume transaction systems.
