Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for an AP Chemistry & Biology Tutor. The tutor will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in AP Chemistry and Biology that align with curriculum standards. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, assisting students in mastering complex concepts, preparing them for exams, and providing one-on-one support as needed. The role also involves tracking student progress and collaborating with the team to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in AP Chemistry and Biology, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Prior experience in online tutoring or teaching, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and support student progress creatively and methodically.
- Knowledge of relevant educational tools and platforms used in virtual learning environments.
- BA/BS degree or higher in Biology, Chemistry, Education, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Enthusiasm for education and mentorship, and the ability to inspire confidence in students.
