About the Role

As a Cloud Engineer, you will join our Cloud Platforms team within the Infrastructure and Cloud Services domain, responsible for building and operating our cloud platforms.

As a Cloud Engineer, you are passionate about automation and consistently apply best practices in CI/CD and infrastructure automation. You advocate for clean, reusable code, have strong opinions on git branching strategies, and are well‑versed in cloud security principles. With experience across multiple cloud platforms, you bring expertise in security, networking, software engineering, and SRE to our cloud estate—always starting with code. An advocate for open source, you rely on git, bash, Docker, and Kubernetes as core tools of your daily work.

What will your day look like?

As a Cloud Engineer, you are expected to:

Work in a collaborative team to explore business initiatives and solutions
Build infrastructure using code and follow software engineering best practices
Utilize knowledge of distributed system design including cloud security, scalability, data, and storage
Leverage AI powered tools and platforms (e.g., Copilot-style tooling) to improve developer productivity, automate operations, and enhance system reliability
Challenge the status quo, whilst always looking for opportunities for continuous improvement

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Must have 5+years of relevant experience.
Experience building, operating and securing Cloud technology at scale, using either AWS or GCP
Comfortable coding in one or more languages (bash, JavaScript, Golang, Python, Powershell, etc), and you use these skills to automate as much as possible
Specialize experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform along with continuous integration/delivery tooling such as CodeFresh / Github Actions etc.
Experience using Cloud‑Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) tools to improve cloud security posture, including capabilities such as vulnerability management, misconfiguration detection etc.
Extensive experience working within cross-functional, agile or continuous delivery teams
A growth mindset and desire to continually learn and share new techniques and ideas
