Role Description

This is a contract-based remote role for an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Specialist. The AML Specialist will be responsible for conducting thorough due diligence processes, analyzing financial data to identify potential risks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and sanctions. Working closely with the compliance team, the specialist will communicate findings, recommend risk mitigation strategies, and collaborate on creating practices for safeguarding operations against money laundering activities.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial data and identify anomalies
• Excellent communication skills for reporting and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Experience in finance and a thorough understanding of financial systems and practices
• Proficiency in due diligence and knowledge of compliance processes, including risk assessments
• Familiarity with sanctions regulations and their application in a financial or blockchain environment
• Attention to detail and the ability to make informed decisions under significant scrutiny
• Prior experience in blockchain, FinTech, or regulatory compliance is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field
