Head of Corporate Communications, EMEA

As the Head of Corporate Communications for EMEA, you will be responsible for developing and executing Anthropic's external communications strategy across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This includes media relations, crisis communications, executive visibility, and more. You will collaborate closely with our global communications team to ensure consistency and alignment, while also adapting to the unique needs and opportunities of the EMEA region. This is a senior leadership role that will report to our Vice President of Corporate Communications. Responsibilities: - Lead media relations and press outreach in EMEA, including proactive and reactive activities - Craft and manage Anthropic's external messaging and positioning in the region - Serve as a key spokesperson for Anthropic in EMEA - Partner with teams across the company including product, marketing, policy, and more to ensure communications are integrated and impactful - Manage a small team of communications professionals to execute the regional strategy - Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of the EMEA communications program Requirements: - 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, preferably at a high-growth tech company - Proven track record of securing high-profile media coverage and managing sensitive issues or crises - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences - Familiarity with the European media landscape and experience working with EMEA-based reporters - Strong project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally - Fluency in English; proficiency in other European languages a plus - Willingness to travel within EMEA as needed
