About the role

Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented UX Intern to join our Empowerment team. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in UX research, design, and usability testing while contributing to the development of cutting-edge engineering simulation tools. You'll work alongside experienced UX professionals and cross-functional product teams to deliver intuitive, user-centered design solutions. Key Duties and Responsibilities Assist in user research activities, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing Analyze user feedback and data to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs under the guidance of senior UX designers Support the development and maintenance of design systems and documentation Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure designs are implemented as intended Contribute to design critiques and team brainstorming sessions Stay current with UX trends, tools, and best practices Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience Currently pursuing a degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar Basic understanding of UX principles and user-centered design Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills A portfolio or examples of design work (academic or personal projects acceptable) Preferred Qualifications and Skills Experience with user research methods or usability testing Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus Interest in complex software or technical domains such as engineering or simulation Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment
