JOB DESCRIPTION – ANSYS APPLICATION ENGINEER (ELECTRO-OPTICS)
Experience: 3–6 Years | Location: New Delhi | Joining: Immediate
Job Summary
We are looking for a technically strong and customer-focused Application Engineer – Electro-Optics with a strong foundation in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Opto-Electronics, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline. The candidate will support the adoption, demonstration, implementation, and technical support of Ansys Electro-Optics and Photonics simulation solutions across Aerospace & Defence, Semiconductor, Photonics, Optical Communication, Electronics, and Academia.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical demonstrations, presentations, workshops, training, and technical reports/application notes for Ansys Electro-Optics solutions.
- Understand customer engineering requirements and recommend appropriate Ansys products, workflows, and simulation methodologies.
- Support customers during software evaluations, Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs), benchmarks, and technical projects.
- Develop simulation models, application examples, case studies, and customer-specific demonstrations.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
- Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities, conduct technical discussions.
- Coordinate with Ansys/OEM/principal technical teams for advanced technical requirements.
- Provide technical support for strategic opportunities in Aerospace & Defence, Semiconductor, Photonics, Optical Communication, Electronics, and Academia.
- Willingness to travel across India for customer meetings technical engagements.
Key Technical Skills
- Exposure to Ansys Lumerical, Ansys Zemax OpticStudio will be an advantage.
- Understanding of optical communication, waveguides, photonic devices, lasers, detectors, optical sensors, or semiconductor photonics is desirable.
- Python scripting knowledge is desirable; basic Machine Learning concepts will be an advantage.
Qualification
- M.Tech/ B. Tech/B. E/Bachelor's degree in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Opto-Electronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years of relevant industry/R&D/application engineering experience.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong technical presentation and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to senior scientists and R&D teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
