About the role

ANSCER Robotics is scaling its Pallet Lifting Robot series — autonomous forklifts that move pallets in warehouses and factories without human drivers. The robots use a chassis and a hydraulic mast assembly for lifting. We are looking for a hands-on Service Engineer who owns the hydraulics: keeping the masts working, diagnosing failures fast, and documenting everything so the system gets better with every fix.

Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair on hydraulic systems of PSR, PSR Reach, and PLR robots — pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, manifolds, reservoirs.
Diagnose hydraulic faults using pressure gauges, flow meters, schematics, and electronic diagnostic tools.
Drive root-cause analysis (5 Whys / fishbone) on every recurring failure.
Support deployments and customer-site interventions across India (~30% travel). Bring the robot back to operational state within agreed MTTR.
Maintain and improve service documentation: SOPs for PM, troubleshooting trees for top failure modes, daily service reports, spare-parts consumption logs, and a hydraulic system change log per product version.
Coordinate with PUMA Lift on chassis-side issues and with the in-house electrical/software team on integrated faults (HW vs SW vs integration triage).
Build and maintain the spare-parts kit per robot variant and per customer site.
Train customer maintenance teams on Level-1 hydraulic checks and safe operation.

Requirements

Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Mechatronics.
3–5 years hands-on hydraulics service on forklifts, MHE, or construction equipment.
Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics and translate them into diagnosis steps.
Hands-on repair experience on cylinders, gear/gerotor pumps, directional and proportional valves, hoses and fittings.
Comfort with hand tools, pressure testing equipment, and basic electrical multimeter use.
Discipline to write structured service reports and update SOPs — examples will be asked for.

Good to have

Exposure to electric forklifts or battery-electric MHE.
Familiarity with AMR / automation / robotics systems, CAN bus, or sensor-driven control loops.
Experience working with hydraulic OEM service organizations (Bosch Rexroth, Eaton, Parker, Yuken, Wipro).
Basic familiarity with version control for documents (Confluence / Notion / Google Drive structured folders).
