Role Overview
The Sr Angular Developer will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing high-quality, reusable UI components and experiences. As part of the UI engineering team, you will be responsible for creating scalable and maintainable code, ensuring seamless user experiences across various devices and browsers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the technological growth of Chubb India.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop reusable Angular UI components using Chubb's design system, Angular, TypeScript, HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript with a focus on code reusability and maintainability.
- Identify and evaluate technical dependencies and feasibility constraints impacting UI development.
- Ensure a consistent and seamless user experience across multiple devices and browsers by adhering to best practices in UI design and development.
- Proactively seek new knowledge, stay updated with the latest trends, and incorporate innovative solutions to enhance UI component libraries’ reliability, efficiency, and performance.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers and product managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features and functionalities.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders through clear documentation and presentations.
- Write automated unit and integration tests for UI components using Jest/Vitest to ensure code quality and robustness.
- Perform manual debugging and troubleshooting to identify and resolve UI issues promptly.
- Establish and follow coding standards and best practices to maintain code consistency and quality.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to technical standards.
- Contribute to agile development processes, including wireframing, prototyping, and sprint planning.
- Work effectively within cross-disciplinary teams, demonstrating excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- 3 to 7 years of experience with Front End technologies, particularly Angular.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related STEM fields, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in UI engineering with a strong portfolio demonstrating your work.
- Proficiency in HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Strong analytical skills with a systematic approach to software design and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of state management libraries such as Redux, NgRx, and Signal Store.
- Experience with cloud technologies, UI performance optimization, and accessibility standards.
