Location: Noida / Delhi NCR
Experience: 5–8 Years
Employment: Full-time
Function: Smartphone Software / R&D
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical review and validation of Android firmware/ROM releases for Boltt smartphones.
- Work closely with ODM and chipset/platform teams on Android BSP, Framework, HAL, Kernel and system-level issues.
- Analyse software bugs, logs, crash dumps, boot issues and system-level failures.
- Review and validate firmware changes proposed by ODMs and external development partners.
- Coordinate Android security patches, SMRs and software maintenance releases.
- Support GMS-related software readiness and release management.
- Manage software versioning across EVT, PVT, MP and commercial production stages.

- Act as Boltt’s technical interface with ODM, chipset and software partners.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–8 years of experience in Android smartphone/device software.
- Strong understanding of AOSP and Android architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Android BSP, Framework, HAL, Linux/Android Kernel and device drivers.
- Experience debugging Android system issues using ADB, logcat, dumpsys, tombstones, ANR/crash logs and related tools.
- Understanding of Android build and release processes.
- Experience with OTA/FOTA and Android security-patch integration.
- Familiarity with GMS software and certification lifecycle.
- Experience with Git and source-code management.
- Experience working with smartphone ODMs or chipset/platform companies.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a smartphone OEM, ODM, IDH, chipset/platform company or mobile R&D organisation.
- Experience with the Unisoc or MediaTek Android ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with Unisoc Android platforms will be a strong advantage.
This is a hands-on engineering role, not a project coordination position. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently analysing technical problems, reviewing logs, code and build information, and validating solutions proposed by ODMs and external development partners.
If you have strong Android system-level expertise and want to play a key role in building and owning smartphone software at Boltt, we’d love to hear from you.
