About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our Engineering Group, specifically focusing on software security mitigation and vulnerability detection tools development. This role involves designing and implementing security features at both kernel and user space levels, ensuring the robustness and integrity of our Android-based products. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to review security designs, develop innovative solutions, and enhance the overall security posture of our devices. Your expertise will directly impact the safety and reliability of mobile platforms used by millions of users worldwide. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from a reputed institution, with a strong academic record. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years (for Bachelor's), 2 years (for Master's), or 1 year (for Ph.D.) of relevant work experience in software engineering, particularly in security-related domains. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and Python is essential. Experience with Linux kernel internals, Android OS, and embedded programming is required. Knowledge of ARMv8/ARMv9 security extensions, fuzzing tools, and Linux security frameworks like SELinux will be advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to independently drive feature development and resolve complex security issues effectively.
Responsibilities
As a Security Engineer at Qualcomm, your primary responsibilities will include developing security mitigation features at both kernel and user space levels, ensuring the protection of our Android-based platforms.
