Job Summary
We are looking for a Software Power & Thermal Engineer to drive analysis, debugging, and optimization of device-level power consumption and thermal for Android products. This role will focus on improving DOU(Days of Use), and device heating experience, while also supporting post-launch issue analysis and continuous product optimization based on user scenarios, market insights, and competitive benchmarking.
Key Responsibilities
1.Analyze, debug, identify root causes, and optimize device-level power consumption and thermal issues to improve DOU(Days of Use) and thermal performance of the product.
2.Investigate, analyze, and drive end-to-end resolution of DOU and heating issues reported by users after product launch.
3.Work closely with user scenarios, regional usage patterns, and competitor analysis to identify local market pain points related to thermal performance, and drive effective optimization actions.
4.Participate in defining and improving standards, processes, and technical solutions related to power and thermal optimization, continuously enhancing overall product competitiveness.
Required Qualifications
1.Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Electronics, Communication Engineering, or a related field.
2.2+ years of experience in power consumption optimization and/or thermal optimization, with solid familiarity with the Android system architecture.
3.Good understanding of the analysis workflow for Android power and thermal issues, and proficiency in using common tools such as Power Monitor, Trace tools, and relevant debugging methods.
4.Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and execution skills, with good communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
Preferred
Experience in Android power and thermal analysis/optimization on MediaTek (MTK) or Qualcomm platforms is preferred.
