Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Android Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performance Android applications for Shriram General Insurance’s digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing scalable mobile applications, integrating APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and user-friendly solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using modern development frameworks and tools.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to implement new features and enhance existing applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure application stability and responsiveness.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
- Troubleshoot issues and resolve bugs to improve application performance and user experience.
- Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Android application development.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java for Android development.
- Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle build systems.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party library integration.
- Knowledge of MVVM/MVC architecture patterns.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and responsive layouts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation, Room).
- Familiarity with Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, Push Notifications).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices.
