Job description
Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled Android Developer with 6-8 years of hands-on experience in building, publishing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. The candidate should be proficient with Android Studio IDE (preferably Android Studio Narwhal | 2025.1.3 Feature Drop) and have strong experience using Firebase Developer Console and Google Play Developer Console to manage production apps.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin (preferred) / Java
- Work extensively with Android Studio IDE (Narwhal 2025.1.3 or later) for debugging, profiling, and performance optimization
- Integrate and manage backend services using Firebase (Authentication, Firestore/Realtime DB, Cloud Functions, Analytics, Crashlytics, FCM)
- Handle Google Play Developer Console activities including:
- App publishing and release management
- Versioning, signing, and rollout strategies
- Monitoring ANRs, crashes, and user feedback
- Implement modern Android architecture patterns (MVVM / Clean Architecture)
- Ensure app performance, scalability, security, and responsiveness
- Collaborate with backend, UX/UI, QA, and product teams
- Follow Android best practices, coding standards, and Google Play policies
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–5 years of professional Android development experience
- Strong expertise in Android Studio IDE (preferred: Narwhal | 2025.1.3 Feature Drop)
- Proficiency in Kotlin (Java acceptable)
- Hands-on experience with Firebase Developer Console
- Experience managing production apps via Google Play Developer Console
- Good understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack components, and lifecycle management
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party SDK integrations
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Play Store release workflows
Good to Have
- Experience with Jetpack Compose
- Knowledge of App security, permissions, and Play Store compliance
- Experience with performance monitoring and analytics-driven improvements
- Exposure to modularization and multi-flavor builds
- Prior experience working in startup or product-based environments
