EzData Advisory is hiring an Analytics Engineer for our Varanasi office.
We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in Power BI, Tableau, Looker, dbt, SQL, and semantic layer/data modeling concepts.
This role is ideal for someone who has already worked in BI/reporting and now wants to grow deeper into analytics engineering, semantic modeling, BI modernization, and modern data platforms.
What You’ll Work On
You will work closely with our senior analytics and data engineering team on real client projects involving BI development, BI migration, semantic modeling, data validation, and modern analytics workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI and Tableau
- Build or maintain Looker models, Explores, dashboards, and LookML views
- Work on dbt models, transformations, tests, documentation, and analytics workflows
- Design and support semantic models, reporting layers, and data models
- Write strong SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and reporting logic
- Validate numbers across source systems, SQL, dbt models, Looker, Power BI, and Tableau
- Understand business reporting requirements and convert them into analytics solutions
- Support BI migration and modernization projects across tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Omni, and dbt
- Collaborate with data engineers, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders
- Learn and work on modern tools like Omni, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, dltHub, and cloud platforms
Must-Have Skills
- 2+ years of experience in analytics, BI, reporting, or analytics engineering
- Hands-on experience with Power BI
- Hands-on experience with Tableau
- Hands-on experience with Looker / LookML
- Hands-on experience with dbt
- Strong SQL skills
- Good understanding of semantic layer concepts
- Good understanding of data modeling and reporting layer design
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into dashboards, models, and metrics
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to work onsite from Varanasi
Good to Have
- Experience with BI migration projects
- Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift, or PostgreSQL
- Experience with Git or version control
- Understanding of analytics engineering best practices
- Exposure to metric layers, semantic models, or governed BI platforms
- Interest in learning modern tools like Omni, dltHub, Databricks, and cloud platforms
Ideal Candidate
We are not looking for someone who only knows how to create dashboards.
We are looking for someone who understands how data flows from raw tables to models, metrics, dashboards, and business decisions.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Power BI and Tableau, and should already have working experience with Looker, dbt, and semantic/data modeling concepts.
This role is a strong fit for someone who wants to grow into a deeper Analytics Engineering role and work on modern BI, semantic layer, and data platform projects.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in BI, analytics, reporting, or analytics engineering
- Must have worked on Power BI and Tableau
- Must have hands-on experience with Looker / LookML
- Must have hands-on experience with dbt
- Strong SQL experience is mandatory
- Understanding of semantic layer and data modeling concepts is mandatory
Location Requirement
This is an onsite role in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
Candidates must be willing to work from our office. Candidates outside Varanasi should be open to relocating.
