Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on MarTech engineering/ AEP Implementation Specialist to support our migration from Adobe Analytics to Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) and expansion into mobile app analytics. If you have a suitable talent pool for this requirement, please share the profiles on high priority.
This role will own the design, implementation, and maintenance of XDM schemas and data ingestion into Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) across web and mobile environments. You will work closely with analytics, product, and engineering teams to ensure accurate, scalable, and consistent data collection that powers downstream reporting in CJA.
This is a hands-on engineering-ops role, focused on implementation, data modelling, and debugging.
Key Responsibilities
- XDM Schema Design & Data Modelling
- Design and maintain XDM schemas for web and mobile applications within AEP
- Extend and standardize schemas across platforms (web → mobile → desktop app) to ensure consistent event and identity modelling
- Define event structures (page views, product interactions, conversions, lifecycle events) aligned with business requirements
- Manage schema versioning and evolution as new features, locales, and platforms are introduced
- Identity & Data Architecture
- Define and implement identity namespaces (e.g., ECID, CRM ID, device ID) within AEP
- Configure and maintain identity stitching rules to support cross-device and cross-platform user tracking
- Partner with analytics and product teams to ensure identity design supports accurate attribution and user journey analysis in CJA
- Data Ingestion & Platform Configuration
- Configure datasets and ingestion pipelines into AEP for web and mobile data
- Ensure correct mapping of incoming data into XDM-compliant structures
- Validate data flow from collection layer → AEP datasets → downstream consumption (CJA, Databricks, etc.)
- Monitor ingestion health, latency, and data completeness
- Debugging & QA Support
- Support Adobe Web SDK and Mobile SDK instrumentation (Adobe Launch and Tealium knowledge – nice to have)
- Debug data collection issues using browser developer tools and network inspection (e.g., validating payloads, event calls, identity values)
- Troubleshoot discrepancies across Adobe Analytics, AEP, and CJA
- Partner with analytics teams to resolve data quality issues and ensure parity during AA → CJA migration
- Validate event firing, schema mapping, and identity behaviour in lower and production environments
The role will report under analytics and will collaborate with:
- Product and engineering teams (for feature instrumentation)
- Marketing teams (for campaign tracking requirements)
About You
- 5+ years of experience in MarTech, digital analytics implementation, or data analyst/engineer in a marketing technology ecosystem
- Strong hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including:
- XDM schema design
- Dataset configuration
- Identity namespaces and stitching
- Good understanding of event-based tracking and clickstream data models / adobe web SDK, Mobile SDK, schema strategy, naming conventions, and governance standards.
- Experience in configuring CJA connections, data views, calculated metrics, reports, and attribution models.
