JOB DESCRIPTION
The Financial Crime – Centre of Excellence team is responsible for the enterprise-wide AML Transaction Monitoring (TM) programs across all our products and services for US and International Markets. The team develops, implements, and monitors automated transaction monitoring strategies, rules, and reporting processes to identify activity potentially indicative of money laundering or other financial crimes.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with GFCC, GFCSU and GRC Data Capabilities teams to design and implement automated transaction monitoring (TM) scenarios to support market compliance (MCO) stakeholders and align regarding the management of the company’s compliance risk.
Responsibilities
- Driving Strategic projects & portfolio analytics to identify opportunities and create strategies to enhance/measure the performance of TM program.
- Forecast alert generation volumes for TM rules. Partner closely with the FIU on the forecasting exercise.
- Establish rule/logic performance metrics in partnership with stake holders. Monitor performance in close collaboration with the Rule Strategy and Design teams.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Academic Background: Master’s or post-graduation from a top tier college (either MBA/M tech/MS/master’s in quantitative subjects such as Economics, Statistics or Mathematics)
Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in credit/fraud risk is a good to have.
Technical And Function Skills
- A strong balance of technical knowledge and business acumen, along with zeal of driving innovation with analytical bent of mind.
- Exceptional drive and commitment; ability to work and thrive in fast changing, results driven environment; and proven ability in handling competing priorities
- Experience usingExcel, Hive,BigQuery, Python, Pyspark & exposure to Bigdata, Tableau/Power BI & GCP cloudwouldbe an added advantage.
- Excellent critical thinking and attention to detail with relevant statistical analysis/econometric experience required.
- Excellent planning and organizations skills including ability to manage inter-dependencies and execute under stringent timelines
- Strong team building and leadership characteristics will be expected.
- Good communication and persuasion skills with an ability to translate technical analysis into business insights and recommendations, work with diverse teams and individuals.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of AML Investigations, and/or the credit card and payments industry is a plus. Working knowledge of Credit and Fraud Risk is extremely preferred.
