What You’ll Do
- Work as a key member of the GSC COE Logistics team, this position requires to work in any shift (3pm to 12am IST) Logistics Analyst will be providing analytical and support cost out & Process improvement projects for global Logistics team. This position will be involved in enhancement of productivity and efficiencies of Logistics Project Management and Execution in corporate & Business. This role will be supporting cost optimization and process improvements projects, preparing, and publishing different logistics reports to facilitate right decisions, driving synergies and benchmarking inputs to the global logistics council.
- Managing Projects Corporate function& Business regions: Project Management, optimizing transport cost, finding synergy in packaging cost & Transport cost optimization, and reducing overall costs.
- Co-ordinate and create multidimensional reports showcasing the key performance indicators with on time delivery.
- Strong excel & analytical skills in Network optimization.
- Support global Logistics projects with detailed analysis and benchmarking inputs with other sites.
- Drive continuous improvements process in Logistics transport planning &Execution.
- Connect with site & Corporate team and understand premium freight cost & reporting challenges and Work together with them to improve premium freight compliance level.
- Proactive analysis - corporate team for Budgeted spend Vs actual spend VS forecast spend. Premium freight compliance level not met with target level.
- Ensure Project Timelines and milestone management for Logistics Projects.
- Align with Global Logistics’ function and support standardization of processes and leveraging of spend.
- Accountable and responsible for the timely, on budget delivery of reports & projects managed.
- Guides team associated with the project, including goal setting, and planning of performance / gate reviews.
- Reporting and reviewing of new transitions and ongoing logistics activities with stakeholders
- Connect with site and understand requirements, challenges and work together with them to improve decision making.
- Lead cost out generator in Logistics transportation.
- Initiate cost saving in Ocean, Air, Road, and parcel.
- Preparing cost saving detailed proposals and getting the buy offs from stakeholders in defined region
- Provide excellent customer service, resolving internal customer issues promptly and professionally
- Work closely with various carriers in Air, Ocean, Road and Parcel categories to ensure the critical performance parameters are met
- Achieve logistics cost out for site and build pipeline for upcoming years.
- Knowledge of Spot quotation
- Raise damage requests with insurance company and maintain tracker.
- Freight invoice validation and approval in system.
- Expert in SAP, Salesforce, MS Office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with about 5-8 Yrs. Experience in North Americas Logistics operational domain
- Preferred SCM qualifications from accredited institute. (CII TM Pro)
- Preferred experience SSC environment
