About Align Ventures
Align Ventures is looking for a motivated Analyst to support the firm’s day-to-day Operations, Strategy, and Finance functions. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and interested in gaining exposure to venture capital, private markets, fund operations, investor onboarding, and strategic initiatives.
Role Overview
The Analyst will work closely with the Operations & Strategy team and support key workstreams across fund operations, investor communications, finance tracking, process improvement, and business analysis. The role requires strong execution, attention to detail, comfort with data, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Fund Support
- Support day-to-day fund operations, investor onboarding, subscription documentation, KYC/AML tracking, and closing processes.
- Assist with investor records, internal trackers, document management, and workflow coordination.
- Help maintain and update systems such as CRM, investor portals, and internal databases.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external counsel, fund administrators, and other service providers as required.
Finance & Reporting
- Assist with wire tracking, capital activity, investor allocation files, and basic financial reconciliations.
- Support preparation of internal finance trackers, dashboards, and reporting materials.
- Help ensure accuracy across investor data, subscription amounts, commitments, and related documentation.
Strategy & Business Support
- Conduct primary and secondary research on companies, sectors, markets, and investment opportunities.
- Support preparation of internal memos, market summaries, investor updates, and business development materials.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, reporting workflows, and operating efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in finance, consulting, venture capital, private equity, investment banking, operations, or a similar field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and PowerPoint / Google Slides.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and take ownership of work.
- Interest in venture capital, private markets, startups, and financial operations.
Preferred Skills
- Prior internship or work experience in finance, consulting, startups, investment operations, or research.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, investor portals, document management systems, or fund operations is a plus.
- Comfortable working across time zones and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
