About the Company
We are seeking an Analog Mixed-Signal Chip Design Engineer to contribute to the design, simulation, validation, and tapeout of advanced analog and mixed-signal systems. This role involves working on cutting-edge semiconductor research projects in a high-impact research environment.
About the Role
The ideal candidate should have strong fundamentals in analog design, hands-on CMOS IC experience, and exposure to end-to-end tapeout workflows. Prior tapeout experience will be considered a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop analog and mixed-signal circuit blocks such as amplifiers, comparators, current references, bandgap references, PLL blocks, ADC/DAC support circuits, and interface circuits.
- Perform schematic capture, simulation, and analysis using industry-standard Cadence EDA tools.
- Work on transistor-level circuit design, block-level integration, system-level integration, and verification.
- Conduct layout reviews and perform post-layout simulations.
- Debug design issues and optimize circuits for performance, power, and area.
- Participate in design sign-off activities and support complete tapeout cycles.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and design reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, VLSI, Microelectronics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of analog circuit design fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience in CMOS analog/mixed-signal IC design.
- Exposure to tapeout flow; prior tapeout experience preferred.
- Familiarity with tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Required Skills
- Experience in low-power design, high-speed interfaces, or data converters.
- Understanding of semiconductor device physics and layout considerations.
- Exposure to post-layout verification, corner analysis, and tapeout sign-off.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative research environment.
