Role Description The Analog Layout Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing analog and mixed-signal layout blocks, ensuring that circuit intent is accurately translated into physical layout. Day-to-day tasks include creating transistor-level and block-level layouts, performing layout checks, coordinating with circuit design engineers, and driving layout improvements for performance, area, reliability, and manufacturability. The role also involves running physical verification (DRC/LVS/EM/IR), addressing sign-off issues, and preparing design documentation in line with project and customer requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams and adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in analog and analog circuits, with solid understanding of device physics and circuit behavior.
- Hands-on experience in layout design and custom layout for analog and mixed-signal blocks.
- Knowledge of circuit design fundamentals and ability to interpret schematics for accurate layout implementation.
- Practical experience in physical verification, including DRC, LVS, and reliability checks (EM/IR).
- Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor/Siemens, Synopsys) for layout and verification.
- Understanding of semiconductor process nodes, preferably including advanced nodes (e.g., 28nm and below).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with global and local stakeholders.
