Role Description
Chip Smart Technologies is looking for an Analog Layout Engineer for a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and verifying analog layouts using industry-standard tools. Key responsibilities include floor planning, layout optimization, collaborating with circuit design teams, performing layout versus schematic (LVS) checks, and addressing design issues to ensure adherence to specifications and timelines. The role demands high attention to detail, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and meeting project deliverables effectively.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Analog Layout Design, with experience in floor planning, placement, and routing for mixed-signal and analog circuits
- Knowledge of Layout Verification, including LVS (Layout Versus Schematic) and DRC (Design Rule Checking)
- Expertise in using Layout Tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Custom Compiler, and Mentor Graphics Calibre
- Understanding of Semiconductor Design Processes, CMOS, and fabrication methods
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail for optimizing layouts and resolving design issues
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
- Relevant experience in VLSI or semiconductor industries is highly preferred
