Job details:
Imagine steering the analog heart of tomorrow’s industrial‑grade microcontrollers, shaping IP that powers everything from factory robots to automotive safety systems.
🔭 About the Role
Lead a high‑performance team of analog designers responsible for low‑power, low‑cost, high‑precision IP (ADCs, DACs, LDOs, DC‑DCs, PLLs, op‑amps, comparators, references, clock generators) used in TI’s MSP‑based MCUs for industrial and automotive markets. You will:
- Own the spec‑to‑RTM delivery of differentiated analog IP.
- Interface daily with system/architecture, RTL, DV, DFT, PD, and test groups to guarantee seamless integration with massive digital logic.
- Define the roadmap by analyzing market/application trends, translating EE needs into IP plans, and balancing cost, power, and performance.
- Mentor and grow a multi‑disciplinary design team, fostering a culture of innovation and on‑time delivery.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Drive full‑life‑cycle development of analog/mixed‑signal IP for MSP MCUs (spec, architecture, RTL hand‑off, verification, DFT, silicon bring‑up, test).
- Conduct roadmap workshops with product management, EE application groups, and foundry partners to prioritize new IP blocks.
- Establish cross‑functional communication channels (system, arch, RTL, DV, DFT, PD, test) to resolve integration challenges and ensure RTM (Ready‑to‑Market) dates.
- Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and mitigation plans; own project schedules, budget, and resource allocation.
- Champion low‑power techniques and noise‑robust design across analog blocks that coexist with high‑speed digital cores.
- Foster a patent‑driven culture – identify IP opportunities, guide disclosures, and protect innovations.
- Recruit, coach, and evaluate design engineers; create development plans aligned with TI’s leadership principles.
✅ Required Skills
- B.S. (or higher) in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years of analog/mixed‑signal IC design experience, 5+ years in a leadership role (team lead, manager, or technical lead).
- Deep expertise in ADCs, DACs, LDOs/DC‑DCs, PLLs, op‑amps, comparators, references, clock generators.
- Proven track record delivering low‑power, high‑performance analog IP for industrial or automotive MCU families.
- Strong system‑level understanding of digital‑analog coexistence (noise budgeting, floorplanning).
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) and stakeholder‑management skills across architecture, RTL, DV, DFT, PD, and test groups.
- Demonstrated ability to define and execute product roadmaps based on market/applications analysis.
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
- B.S /M.S./Ph.D. in Microelectronics, Analog/RF Design, or related field.
- Experience with TI’s MSP430 or similar low‑power MCU families.
- Prior involvement in automotive functional safety (ISO‑26262) or industrial IEC‑60730 compliance.
- Patent portfolio or involvement in IP protection processes.
- Familiarity with foundry PDKs (28 nm and beyond) and low‑power design methodologies.
- Proven project‑management (Agile/Waterfall) and resource‑planning experience.
