About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong communication and analytical skills to join our procurement team. The role involves managing inventory levels for various workgroups, including consumables, critical spares, and office supplies used at our manufacturing facility in Beaverton (MFN).
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels for different workgroups, ensuring smooth operational support.
Procurement: Handle the procurement of consumables, critical spares, and office supplies using IT systems like SAP to complete related tasks efficiently.
Purchase Requisition: Create purchase requisitions by sending RFQs, reviewing vendor quotations, conducting technical and commercial discussions, securing stakeholder approvals, and developing sourcing and negotiation strategies.
Purchase Order Management: Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders (POs), track delivery timelines, manage vendor relations, resolve payment issues, and provide post-PO support.
Project Involvement: Work on various inventory and procurement-related projects to improve operational efficiency.
Contract and Vendor Management: Manage contracts, NDAs, vendor setup, and performance tracking (e.g., OTD, VDO, MDO).
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Graduate or Postgraduate (B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, Diploma, MBA, etc.) with a minimum of 60% marks.
Experience: Entry-level or fresher (0–2 years).
Required Skills
Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in cost reduction, negotiation, and contract management.
Willingness to work night shifts to support international stakeholders.
Skilled in competitive bidding, volume leverage, cost analysis, and sourcing from low-cost vendors.
Knowledge of inventory and vendor management processes.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders for efficient operations.
Experience working with virtual teams across different time zones.
