About the role
Key Responsibilities
Procedure Room Support (as assigned):
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during endoscopic procedures
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Position patients and ensure their comfort and safety
- Anticipate provider needs during procedures
- Assist with specimen handling per policy
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized procedure environment
Scope Reprocessing (as assigned):
- Clean, disinfect, and reprocess endoscopes according to established guidelines and regulatory standards
- Perform leak testing and quality checks on scopes
- Maintain accurate documentation and logs
- Ensure proper storage and readiness of scopes
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience as an endoscopy or GI technician preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
- Knowledge of infection control and reprocessing standards is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive, dependable attitude
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed
- Manual dexterity for handling instruments and equipment
